chess
i used to play since i was in kindergarden. i STILL HAVE MEMORIES of the games. my strategy was to literally copy everything my opponent does, and when they think they're cooking, i suddenly stop copying them. this worked somehow-- or adults just went easy on me...
then at some point i joined a chess club... then i quit... then i joined again then i quit again... then i joned AGAIN but this time i got kicked out for talking too much... lol. and now im in again!!
and for a while i used to play RELIGIOUSLY. study, analyse openings, play games like crazy. and play tournamments every now and then. i even have a fide profile now! (which i wont be sharing since it contains a lotta sensetive information bout me ;w;)
but now im more of a casual now. i go to my local chess club, play, come back, MAYBEEE study some openings or do puzzles but yea. im currently ~1660 blitz on chess.com (peak being ~1700)
history
I. LOVE. HISTORY. i love watching history youtubers, i love doing my own deep dives in wikipedia.
I AM OBSSESSED, with post ww1 war countries. ARMENIA, AZERBAIJAN, POLAND, GEORGIA, FINLAND, UKRAINE MMMMMMMMMMMWAHHHHHH. so sad that the communists had to barge in, and ruin those awesome lil republics.
DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC GEORGIA WAS A LITERAL SWITZERLAND NOOOOOO AND POLAND WAS LIKE, A SUPERPOWER BASICALLY. and ARMENIA had SUCH A CRAZY RIDE ITS JUST SO FUN TO LEARN ABOUT..
but also tragic and frustrating LIKE WHYYYY. DID. THEY. PLACE. THE. ARMY. UNDER. THE. CONTROL. OF. THE. PARLIAMENT. AND. NOT. THE. MINISTRY. OF. DEFENSE????? THAT'S WHY IM ALSO INTO ALTERNATIVE HISTORIESS! i already wrote... a lot of them and i wanna share it on this website at some point!
chemistry
im surprisingly good at it, i dont know how. my chem teach is awesome and so maybe i even wanna persue this subject in uni... unless what i just said will age horribly in which case... uh...
languages
im fluent in russian, georgian and english. and i know a lil bits of other languages like french and slovakian, and i have dabbled in many other languages like arabic serbian spanish and armenian.
im very good at just... breezing thru A1 but then getting hard stuck at A2. im fluent in georgian since... its my mother tongue! my parents spoke it. and russian came from all the russian cartoons i watched as a kid. and english from the internet.
and when learning other languages its hard finding exposure or content for other languages so that's why i get hard stuck and kinda dont want to learn anymore... but i do wanna go back to learning spanish it was a very fun language with TONS OF CONTENT
linguistics
i feel like this should have a seperate category. i made my own lil conlangs, i love looking different languages' phonetic charts AND EVEN... grammar ;w; it's kinda like learning other languages... without actually learning them
AND SCRIPTS MMMMMMM SCRIPTS!! armenian script is SO COOL. mkhedruli and the other 2 ancient georgian scripts are MWAH. cyrrilic is... meh BUT THEIR CURSIVE IS AWESOME (im so proud i can write in it... i dont know why ppl hate it its AWESOME AND PRETTY i will be posting more curive from now on). greek is great. hengeul or korean script is less phonetic than the georgian script anyone who disagrees needs... love and positivity so they can change their backwards minds. chinese is interesting and japanese... sucks tbh. AMHARICCCC-- arabic is beautiful-- ok this is gonna take like 2 hours to get all known scripts sooo lemme just end this part here :3
ART.
self taught! i love drawing naked human bodie-- I MEAN ANATOMY. and faces. i cannot express (haha pun intended... as in express like in art and-- ok that was SO BAD) how much art has helped me in life. i get free grades JUST because the project i made had good lookin art in it.
as for style as ppl like to talk about-- im a simple man, a simple piece of paper and black pencil is enough. and since im.. kinda traumatised from seeing all the better artists i like exagurating art intentionally to then go under the mask of "oh its meant to be goofy but it still looks good sooooooo"
its so sad to see ai ruining such a beautiful field. absolutely disgusting
linux
I ACTUALLY LIKE THE COMMAND PROMPT AND TRANSITIONING WAS EASY BTW. rn im on debian with cinnamon de. its so easy to rice, its so fresh EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. it NEVER gets boring because i can change the system however i want, whenever i want. i like things nice and tidy which linux helps me in a lot!
game dev
you can check out my games here. i havent been makin them since.. i switched to linux, and construct 2 isnt available for linux sadly... sooo im kinda cooked. but im trying alternatives (gdevelop, godot...) and will probably still be participating in gmtk game jam 2026
oh right as for other game dev software i use its:labchirp / freesound for sound effects and libresprite for (pixel) art
politics
...oooof this is a heavy one.. i just like watching the news. it somehow doesnt make me mad... i dont know how.. and i already have my own opinions and leaning which... uh... ;w; but i think im a radical centrist since my opinions are all over the place, like im NOT neutral, its just... my opinions are scattered all across the spectrum... uh can i give a non controversial example... i dont think i can ;w; maybe i SHOULDNT because i always change opinion on these things since i consider myself open minded... i think
but nowadays im becoming less and less interested in it since... like... WHERE DO I GET THE NEWS FROM?? ground news is ai slop, and it focuses more on left vs the right vs center rather than actually reporting on the news. i found tldr news on youtube its pretty good but they dont cover EVERYTHING, only the more mainstream stuff. i also tried newspapers but they're more local and cover sh*t like THIS TEACHER IN XX SCHOOL IS SO GOOD-- im stuck ;w;
maps / geography
i have 1000 diferent maps saved on my hard drive and i would randomly open em up and just colour them. when i have an idea i do make more high quality stuff (e.g asia without landlocked countries, editing borders based on rivers etc... ill share these at some point!!)
SAME GOES TO ANIMATED MAPS TOO. i have made my own lil map video on youtube!!... i am very proud of it and if youre wondering i made it in libresprite... i want to make one for armenia too at some point (gonna take A LONGGGG TIME because research and... yk ;w;)
