i like pretty much everything: history, cartography, cultures, chess, art, linguistics, languages, game dev, music, computers, linux and some other more small interests
AHEM-- clash royale, nes/gameboy advance/dos games, old flash games, animal farm, ck2, youtube, geopolitics*, writing and finally web dev (duh)
how do i manage my hobbies? well i swap em around once in a while. like CURRENTLY (as of writing this) im learning godot, anatomy (for art), makin maps n music, also alt his, and chess... when i get bored, i guess ill start learning languages and making shty conlangs or rice my desktop

HIS. TORY.
i LOVE history, its FASCINATING, my fav time period is post ww1 cuz its generally such underrated, chaotic (but not TOO chaotic, just the right amount of chaotic) and unexplored time period cuz its overshadowed by ww2. FUCK YOU HITLER!!!! (as a note this is ONE SMALL of MANY reasons to hate him, his ideology, actions and party)
i also love ck2 and more modern-ish medival era... and also pre napoleonic eras-- OK TO PUT IT SHORT, i like the more niche time periods and more niche stuff
my fav figure is frederick the great (honorable mention being zviad gamsakhurdia) my fav historic country is the democratic republic of georgia (honorable mention being first republic of armenia)

i used to play since i was in kindergarden. i STILL HAVE MEMORIES of the games. my strategy was to literally copy everything my opponent does, and when they think they're cooking, i suddenly stop copying them. this worked somehow-- or adults just went easy on me...
and for a while i used to play RELIGIOUSLY. study, analyse openings, play games like crazy. and play tournamments every now and then. i even have a fide profile now!
(which i wont be sharing since it contains a lotta personal information bout me ;w;)
but now im more of a casual. i go to my local chess club, play, come back, MAYBE study some openings or do puzzles but yea. im currently ~1660 blitz on chess.com (peak being ~1700)

im native* in russian n georgian (the asterisk is a long story) and fluent in english. i also know itsy bitsy bits of french spanish and slovakian of all things. but i also dabbled in so many others like arabic, armenian and serbian
im very good at just... breezing thru a1 and then getting hard stuck on a2. and that's why learning languages has become kinda demotivating for me and thats why i swap languages evey 10 seconds and never commit

LINGUISTICS
i feel like this should have a seperate category. i made my own lil conlangs, i love looking at different languages' phonetic charts and evolution. it's kinda like learning other languages... without actually learning them!
AND SCRIPTS мммм ᲐᲜᲑᲐᲜᲘᲘᲘᲘ. i can write in hangeul, mkhedruli, cyrrilic (cursive) and latin and LIIIIL bits of arabic and armenian
my fav script is mkhedruli, its THE most phonetic writing script IN THE WORLD. cyrrilic is meh but its cursive is so beautiful and fun to write in i have no idea why people hate it prob just cope cuz they themselves cant learn in it. shoutout to amharic, and somali script which FOR SOME REASON. isnt used????????
ART.
self taught! ive been drawing ever since i was a little kid. art is THE BEST, it has helped me in life SO. FRIGGIN. MUCH. i get free grades just from my project's art being good
k i havent really shared any art aside from my school doodles here which... yea ill change it soon i promise!
as for style, im a simple man! i draw using kolourpaint (shoutout kolourpaint) and trackpad digitally (not joking), and basic dark pencil physically

i also do pixel art but mostly for my games (and i use libresprite for em)
it is so sad to see ai ruin such a beautiful field...
LINUX.
im on debian and all the computers and laptops i ever had were really fucking old and bad and linux breathes life into them! i also like ricing it (aka customising it)
my favourite desktop envoirment is cinnamon and favourite cli is ninvaders or ttysolitaire

also i prefer x11 cause im on a trackpad and i NEED touchegg. and also the mouse is more snappy in x11 than wayland
